Practice Hard, Play Harder

VALLEY STOMPERS 16A
2009

PLEASE SEE ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TEAM MEETING INFO

We would like to thank the 25 young ladies who tried out for the 2009 team.  We could not have asked for a better group of players both talent and personality wise.  It was an extreamly hard decision for us in selecting this team since all of the players who attended tryouts deserve to be on an A team, but we could unfortunitly only select 12.  For the players that did not make the team, thank you for trying out.  The coaching staff is sure we will see all of you on other team A team during the 09 summer season.

The Valley Stompers 16A travel softball team is pleased to announce its 2009 team.

About Us

Valley Stompers are the “A” Travel Ball division of the San Ramon Valley Girl’s Athletic League (SRVGAL). Valley Stomper teams are very competitive and require a high level of commitment. Each team is composed of 12 to13 of the best players the Valley Stompers can attract to compete at a national level.  Our goal is to develop mature, responsible young ladies with a passion and respect for the game that can compete at the highest level, both on and off the field.

We expect 100% effort and focus at practices and games. We want the players to all have FUN and learn to LOVE the game, but we expect them to have respect for themselves, their teammates, their coaches, their parents, their opponents and the umpires.  We will put players in positions where they and the team have the best chance for success.  There is no minimum playing time guarantee. Playing time will be determined by the coaches and will be based on a player’s ability, attendance, participation, attitude and effort.
